Sixteen-year-old artist Annalisa Hartlaub created a collection primarily for her photography class at the Ohio State University. Through the use of clothing, make-up and styling Hartlaub takes you on a journey through the 1900s. She depicts the style and attitude of each decade beautifully and authentically. Hartlaub has always loved the alternative and so aimed to show not only the mainstream style of each moment in time but also the counter-culture present concurrently. “I’ve always been fascinated, and a bit infatuated, with counterculture and how it shapes society and mainstream culture as well. So I decided to mix that interest with my love of fashion, makeup, and photography to create something,” Hartlaub told The Huffington Post. With painstaking detail each decade comes to life and is captured perfectly in eerie and stunning photographs that are realistically treated to resemble the technology of the time and how the image would have looked as a result. Enjoy for yourself the incredible achievement of this very talented student and the breathtaking images she created. I am sure there is a very bright and creative future ahead of this young woman. This is so fun and really interesting to see each decade one after the other. I love this, really well done and fascinating.
